وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا

Recite the Quran with measured recitation. Al-Muzzammil 73:4

Animated demo: the words of Al-Fatihah reappear one by one on a hidden Mushaf page.
Recite mode on page 1. A word returns only when you say it.
  • 604 Madinah pagesThe printed Mushaf, line for line.
  • Tajweed feedbackWord-by-word notes on your recitation.
  • Recordings not keptWe don’t store your recitation.
  • Free daily practice10 minutes a day of Recite, Follow and the Coach.

Watch it work.

Three silent clips from the app itself. Nothing to listen to — just look.

Pure recitation. Zero distraction.

The whole routine

Recite, Follow, Listen and loop — half a minute, end to end.

When a word slips

Hifzly marks it, shows what it heard, and keeps it for your next review.

Everything happens on the Mushaf page

No flashcards and no reflowed text. You practice on the same page layout you recite from in salah and in front of your teacher.

Recite mode

Recite from memory and watch the page come back

Tap Recite and the words disappear, leaving only the ayah markers. As you recite, each word returns to its place. Start anywhere in the Quran: Hifzly finds where you are, turns to that page and follows you.

  • Words appear only after you say them
  • Start from any page and it finds your place
  • Pages turn on their own as you finish them
  • A word that doesn’t come back is a word you missed
Recite mode: page 558 with the words hidden and only the ayah markers showing
The same page with every word back in place

Live Follow and Listen

It follows your voice, or the reciter’s

In Follow mode a cursor stays on the word you’re reciting, whether you go fast or slow, pause to breathe, or go back to repeat an ayah. In Listen mode it follows the reciter instead, highlighting each word as it’s recited.

  • Keeps your place word by word, even when you go back
  • Word-by-word highlighting while you listen to renowned reciters
  • Switch between Recite, Follow and Listen on the same page
  • Skipped and misread words are marked as you go
Follow mode: the ayah being recited is highlighted and a cursor sits on the current word
Listen mode: a reciter plays from the bar at the bottom and the ayah is highlighted as it is recited

Tajweed Coach

A Tajweed coach that listens to every word

Recite a passage to the Tajweed Coach and get a report when you finish, with the exact words that need work and the rule behind each note. Turn on Tajweed color-coding to see the rules on the page while you practice.

  • Word-by-word feedback after each recitation
  • Notes tied to specific Tajweed rules
  • Your past Tajweed insights, session by session
The Tajweed Coach report: 90% accuracy, a rating, and every Tajweed note next to the word it belongs to

Revision and goals

Revision that remembers what you forget

Every session feeds your review schedule. Ayahs you hesitated on come back sooner, and the ones you know well come back later. Set a daily goal and watch your streak, your minutes and your progress across all 114 surahs.

  • Spaced repetition built from your own recall
  • A daily goal, with streaks that count real recitation
  • A completion tracker for all 114 surahs
The progress screen: ayahs memorized, reviews due today, a day streak, accuracy and a daily activity map with a daily target
Memorization plans ready to start: Juz Amma in 30 days, the last 10 surahs in 2 weeks, Surah Ya-Sin in 7 days

Day and night

The page, and nothing else

Settle into a page and the header, the buttons and the status bar fade away, leaving the fifteen lines on their own. At night, dark mode keeps the same page, line for line, easier on the eyes.

  • The header, buttons and status bar fade away as you read
  • Dark mode for late-night revision
  • The same fifteen lines, exactly as printed, in either mode
The Mushaf page on its own, with the header and the buttons faded away

Built for a real hifz routine

  • Mistake detection

Skip a word or say the wrong one and Hifzly catches it. In Recite the word simply doesn’t come back; in Follow it’s marked on the page — and that ayah moves up your revision queue.

  • Custom plans

Build a memorization plan around your own pace and portion.

  • Custom goals

Choose a daily target and see each day fill in on your activity map.

  • Waqf drills

Practice where to pause and where to resume, so your stops fall in the right places.

  • Unlimited loops, free

Repeat any ayah or range as many times as you need. Creating loops is free for everyone.

  • The real Madinah Mushaf

All 604 pages, line for line, in the King Fahd Complex typeface. Go to any page, juz, hizb or surah.

  • Tap for meaning

Tap any word to see its translation.

A session in three steps

  1. Open your page

Pick a surah, juz or page. It opens exactly as printed.

  2. Recite out loud

Tap Recite. The page clears and fills back in as you go.

  3. Come back tomorrow

What you hesitated on is waiting in your reviews, just before you’d forget it.

Questions people ask first

Is Hifzly free?

Yes. Reading the whole Mushaf, listening, creating loops and your progress tracker are free, and you get 10 minutes a day of Recite mode, Live Follow and the Tajweed Coach. Every new install also includes 7 days of Pro. After that, Pro is $4.99 a month if you want unlimited practice.

Is it safe to install an app from a website?

Android asks for your permission because the app doesn’t come from a store. The file on this site is Hifzly’s release build, signed by us. Only install Hifzly from hifzly.net, never from a file forwarded in a chat.

Is my recitation recorded?

No recordings are kept. Your voice is used to follow you while you recite. The Tajweed Coach sends a short clip for analysis and it’s deleted once your feedback is ready.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. The iOS app is in progress. Android is available today.

Which Mushaf does Hifzly use?

The 604-page Madinah Mushaf (Hafs ʿan ʿĀṣim) with 15 lines per page, set in the King Fahd Complex typeface.
